Day 16 Of 28: What Things Can’t You Live Without?

I am not trying to be one of those people who always gives a literal answer to questions that more than likely requires a list of things (which I will include anyway), but honestly I could more than likely live without anything that is material. However, to answer the question, I can’t live without God and it sometimes feels like I can’t live without:

-My Husband, Nick

-My Cell Phone

-Food (Junk Food)

-Pencil/ Paper, &

I’m sure there is so much more but in all honestly my phone is probably the main thing, aside from my husband, that I can go without because I do literally everything on it. I pay bills on it, call my family on it, get on Facebook (& all other social media sites), I order food with it, I take photos with it, and I’m typing this entry to my blog with it. When push comes to shove, I need my phone!!!

Financial Freedom

Financially, I have lived with the mind of poverty, paycheck to paycheck, believing that every cent that I make must be spent before I get more money. I know, I know, please don’t scold me, that thought process is all wrong and actually quite absurd.
This is the first year that I have actually wanted to put money into a savings account, so guess what, that’s exactly what I am going to do. This year I want to do something that is going to last and have a huge impact on the saving abilities of my future and that will also continue to build as time progresses.
As of today, I have added $25.64 in savings. That is not my balance (Thank God) but it is what I have saved in the year 2017.
I’m sure you all have heard of the 52-week savings challenge, where you add the same amount of dollars as the week of the year it is. For example, since it is the second week of the year you would add two dollars and should have a total of three dollars in savings today. Me, on the other hand, made a very fun spread in my Bullet Journal with a piggy bank and coins that have each week number of the year written on them. I have decided that I’m not going to go in any specific order but make sure I add something from at least one coin and color that in each week.
Unfortunately, I am a week behind because instead of coloring the $12 and $13 coins I colored the $25 coin which is totally fine I will definitely catch up with no questions asked. By the end of 2017, I will have saved $1378 if I follow the plan completely. If not I will have saved more.
In six months from now, I will give you an update (with picture) on where my savings account stands and how I’m doing on my 52-week challenge. If you want to join in START NOW (it won’t be easy but it will be worth it) or if you have a savings method that you use yourself please share that with me and let me know how you stay on track. We’re all meant to win, so let’s go get on our roads to Financial Freedom!
