How many times have we prayed for something and thought that God wasn’t going to answer that specific prayer or God answered the prayer in different way. Let me give an example… How many times do we prayer to be financially stable or have a little extra cash. Come on now let’s be real everybody could use an extra dollar… now once you prayed for that how many of us waited, checked our bank accounts everyday, looked for checks in the mail, or look for God bless us in the exact way that he blessed us the last time.
Think again. God definitely does have the power to bless us the exact same way every time, but why would God do that when He knows who we are. God knows that we are an expecting people and we will begin to expect God to bless us one way and one way only and then we lose sight of what is ahead or we miss how he is truly blessing us and mistake it as an unanswered prayer.
Shift happens. God is trying to shift our focus from expecting the same thing always and having an expectation for God to bless us in many ways. Our shift right now or the shift coming will not look like the last so we must remain alert.
Fear is a natural part of our FLESH. However, God has not given us a spirit of fear but of power, love, and a sound mind. This means that when we feel God doing something in us we should not fear and we should not resist the shift. We shouldn’t fight the shift and we have to remember that we do not have to be qualified, perfect, a minister, a praise and worship leader, we just have to be open, willing, say YES, and let God be GOD.
1. Shift Happens when God wants to do something new.
2. The SHIFT doesn’t look like the last shift.
3. Growth demands SHIFT.
4. SHIFTS are rarely convenient.
